It is such a privilege to welcome so many colleagues and friends to the 18^th Annual Conference
of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health in Lima, Peru!!

Since CUGH started its annual meetings seventeen years ago, the time has come to face a new challenge in the history of these conferences.  For the very first time, South America will be the region where we will bring together our plans and concerns for global health in coming years.  Our main theme Transforming global health:  Partnerships, power, leadership, and technology in a rapidly changing world will be the axel of our main discussions from 25^th to 28^th of February 2027.

Peru is a country where history lives.  We will be very proud to share with you all our culture, history, heritage, hoping you will enjoy its many charms and tourist destinations, its cuisine with international recognition and countless experiences you will take home with you.

Finally, we do hope this occasion will be the start of a new era in the development of CUGH Annual Conferences.
